Hello, Welcome to Portmoak Primary School's website. |
My name is Mrs Margaret Wilson and I have been the Headteacher here since January 2004. |
There are five full time teachers plus three part time teachers who cover for non contact time, a visiting support for learning teacher and various visiting expressive arts specialists. We also have a classroom assistant, classroom auxiliary and an early years' practitioner. There are also two staff in the office, two staff in the kitchen (who cook on site), two cleaners and a part time facilities assistant. |
The school has recently been painted externally, had new windows and, in a major refurbishment, more storage space, a general purpose room and a link from the mobile hut to the school have all been added. Parents are also helping to improve the large playground area. There is an active PTA and School Board and many parents support the school, either in class or the office, in the library, in the school grounds, for fundraising or on outings. Parents are always welcome to contribute to the life of the school. |
We pride ourselves on our up to date curriculum and on our many non curriculum experiences for the children such as football, art club, music club, athletics, book club, skiing and sewing club. We also take part in many competitions and festivals. This year primary 7 and primary 6 are being offered a residential experience. There is also an active Pupil Council and Eco Council (The Earth Pilots) so the children can help make decisions about their school. I am sure the web site is going to be a success and would like to thank Mr Dyson and Mrs Adam for all their hard work. If you would like to know more about us or visit then please do not hesitate to get in touch on 01592 840232 or email |
Thank You |
