In exceptional circumstances, where a blanket closure of schools is considered
necessary, the Director of Education will contact Radio Tay. An announcement will
then be made at 7a.m. This information will also be passed to Heartland FM and
Perth & Kinross Council's Information Line.

Now that there is an answering machine in school it would be the intention to
record a message indicating whether the school will be open or closed.

While every effort will be made for the school to be open you should be aware that
all teachers have a distance to travel. In the morning if you think there is a
possibility that the school may not open or may close, in the interests of safety, it
would be helpful if you made the decision whether or not to send your child.

If it is necessary to close the school during the school day, we will use the contact
details you have given us to ensure your child is returned home safely. Please
ensure that you update us with any changes to your details and arrangements.
